Top 6 Best Supporting Characters in The Office

We all love characters like Michael, Dwight and of course the Halperts. Sometimes, however, we forget to celebrate some of the less prolific but equally beloved people that made this show feel like home for almost a decade. Here is our top 6 picks for the best supporting characters in The Office (USA).

(If you, for some reason, haven't watched the show yet, a slight spoiler warning is in order. What are you doing though - GO BINGE IT!)

Deangelo Vickers

Brought in to replace Michael as the new manager of Dunder Mifflin Saber, he could have easily been a much hated character. That did not happen though. Deangelo is a tough boss, a world class pantomime juggler, not interested in your kid and he has a tendency to embellish slightly when describing his own merits. This, ultimately, becomes his literal downfall when he falls victim to a tragic accident while attempting to jump over Kevin and dunk a basketball. Normal office stuff.

Karen Filippelli

Once in a while it is nice to have someone actually sweet and normal around in the midst of all the craziness, and Karen is exactly what the doctor ordered. Although we weren't thrilled that she was the wrench thrown in the works of the Jim/Pam machine, we simply could not dislike her.. And we will never forget that epic makeover-day she had with Phyllis - and neither will she.

Mistakes were made

The Ross/Rachel of The Office, if Ross and Rachel were the absolute worst. While everyone was rooting for Pam and Jim, this epic love/hate story was always right under our noses. You cannot say that they don't deserve each other.. And it really was a "will they/wont they/should they/absolutely not" narrative for the ages.

Darryl Philbin

Every office has that cool guy everybody likes, and in THE Office that is certainly Darryl. He is ambitious, caring and full of inventive slang words he passes on to Michael. Darryl does not take any BS from anyone, and thats why we can't get enough of this guy. He is also one of the few people who can stop Michael when he is being TOO Michael. Let's be honest, that must come in handy quite often.

Kevin Malone

Kevin might be a little slow sometimes, but he is perhaps the most relatable character in the entire show. He seems to live a life of Mondays, but he refuses to let that bring him down ( although he does get very emotional about food, especially when he drops his favorite chili. Never forget. ) In any case, he absolutely knows how to make lemonade out of the lemons life sometimes hands him. Just like that time he almost succeeded in courting a woman “I got six numbers, one more and it would have been a complete phone number.” That's the spirit, Kev. Oh, and he really knows how to get the most out of his weekends..

As we said. Relatable AF..

Gabe Lewis

We don't know what it is, but we just can't with this guy. Everything he says is just hilarious. He is the ultimate sad sack, and the public train-wreck, that is his breakup with Erin, is equal parts cringy and priceless fun. Who can forget when he totally lost it and screamed SHUT UP ABOUT THE SUN!! at Andy after asking him trivia questions about it.. The moment he really captured our hearts though, was when he dressed up as Lady Gaga. Fantastic stuff.

Did we forget someone? Let us know:
