A New Premier League Season: 4 players you should have on your fantasy team!

We’re playing the official game found here (https://fantasy.premierleague.com/), but most of our advice can be used on other fantasy platforms as well.

GAME WEEK 1: Autumn is here, and so is a new Premier League season, which means it is once again time to show off your skills as a Fantasy Football manager. If you are unsure who to pick for your team to ensure you will be remembered as a hero in songs and become a legend for the ages, then don't worry - we have your back! Here is 4 players you should have on your team:

Goalkeeper: Alex McCarthy 4.5m (Southampton)

Let's be totally honest, you probably don't wanna use money on a goalkeeper like you were Nic Cage trying to buy a bavarian castle in the early 2000's. After all, it might come back to haunt you. Instead go for something cheap and reliable. McCarthy is a solid and experienced keeper, and he only conceded 33 goals in 28 games for the Saints last season - and netted 7 clean sheets in the process. He is not gonna carry your team, but at a budget friendly 4,5 million, he also won't have to.

Defender: Rúben Vinagre 4,5m (Wolverhampton)

With first choice left back Johnny out with an injury for a couple of months, Vinagre should take his spot on a very strong looking Wolves team. The Portuguese U-21 international is still a rookie, but he has already showed a lot of promise, and his pace and dribbling skills could definitely earn him a highly anticipated breakthrough in the early months of the 2020/21 Premier League season. Your friends won't have him on their team, and they might really come to regret that...

Midfielder: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 12m (Arsenal)

This is a ripe piece of fruit ready for picking if we ever saw one! Aubameyang being registered as a midfielder this year is a true gift for every aspiring fantasy football team. This means, he will get a whopping 5 points for every goal he scores instead of the 4 he would have received if he was considered a striker in the game. That could REALLY add up over the season. Do yourself a favor and pick him for your team. Even at 12 million, it is definitely worth it.

Attacker: Danny Ings 8,5m (Southampton)

We know you are looking in the bargain bin, after splashing all that cash on your your flair-filled midfield. Well, look closely, and you will see good old Danny Ings flapping about in the discount section ready to save your day. 8,5 million for a guy that scored 22 Premier League goals last season is an absolute steal. As mentioned, we are expecting the Saints to be in good form this autumn, and Ings is definitely one of the Premier League's unsung heroes. He might not be the most flashy striker, but he will get your team out of a pickle when you need it.

That being said, here is our team for game week 1:
