3 Creepy Theories About Tonights' Episode

Could these come true in a few hours?

(Do not read if you are not currently watching the final season)

1. The Night King can resurrect the dead in the Winterfell Crypt...

Plan A: Let's hide from the dead in the crypts...

So, in the last episode we are being reassured an awful lot that people hiding in the Winterfell crypts will be safe. Actually we are assured so much it has started to worry fans of the show:

Sam: “They’ll be safe, down in the crypt.”

Jon Snow to Bran: "We’ll put you in the crypt where it’s safest"

Ser Jorah speaking to Lyanna: “You’ll be safer in the crypt."

Gendry to Arya: It’s going to be safer down in the crypt, you know?”

Okay, Game of Thrones writers.. What the hell is going on here? What is going to happen? Will the Night King somehow reanimate the corpses of dead Starks? Is that even how it works? Either way, we are fearing the worst for the men, women and children hiding below Winterfell. If something nefarious is afoot, It could also potentially put Tyrion, Sam, Little Sam, Gilly and Varys in harms way. Let us hope we are just starting to get paranoid...

2. The Night King knows every part of our heroes' plans - because he can see the future just like Bran...

When somebody asks if you are the Night King for the 1000th time...

Let's all agree on one thing: Something strange is up with "Bran"/The Three-eyed Raven. And also, is there not something curious about the sudden"The Night King is only coming for me" theory he casually introduces in the latest episode, to apparently no ones surprise?

A lot of fans have speculated that there is a Voldemort/Harry Potter-like connection between the two - and perhaps they do have one very particular thing in common: They are both Greenseers, meaning they can see the future, at least to some extend.

If we think back on when Jon had his encounter with the Night King in the season 7 episode "Beyond the wall" didn't the undead ruler seem suspiciously prepared? And did it not seem like they were simply waiting for Dany to arrive riding Viserion? Not to mention the fact that they seem to have all the equipment needed to bring down and recover the Dragon from the icy waters...

Many fans believe that these things indicate that the Night King knows what is gong to happen, and that could make the battle ahead even more difficult for our heroes.

On a side note, at the end of the last episode when Tyrion looks out at the army of the dead, we do not see The king himself. Does that mean he is not present? And if not, then where is he? Should they worry in Kings Landing? Tonight will hold these answers..

3. We will get character reunions we did not want...

Not all reunions are happy...

This one is fairly straight forward: A lot of familiar faces could be part of the Night Kings' army very soon. We have already discussed why we may see some Starks return tonight(Can beloved Ned Stark come back, or is being headless a good thing in this particular instance?), but we may also see other fallen characters return. Who would want to see Hodor, Stannis or Benjen come back like this? Who else could have been enlisted north of the wall? And who will we see fighting for the undead army during this episode, assuming that everyone who falls becomes a wight.

On a more strategic note, would't the Night King simply be able to surround Winterfell, and wait for the inhabitants to starve? White Walkers do not eat, and therefore they would have all the time in the world - and we already know that supplies at Winter are dwindling by the hour.

And what is Cersei actually expecting will happen in the aftermath? If the Night King wins, his army will have only increased in size, and if Jon and Dany wins, then they are sure to come for her. And why does she think that Bronn will travel to the most dangerous place in Westeros in order to murder Tyrion and Jaime just for a bit of gold?

Tonight will hold many of these answers, and we simply cannot wait. What do you think about these theories? Let us know here:
